A properly installed standing seam metal roof will last 50+ years, with some lasting as long as 100 years. That is a significant benefit when compared to asphalt shingles’ average lifespan, which is only around 12-25 years.

5. Can solar panels be installed on a metal roof?

Yes, solar panels can easily be installed on a metal roof. Here at IBP we stock mounting brackets specifically designed for solar panel installation on a metal roof without making holes on the roof. Check out one of our recent projects that had solar panels installed. We are more than happy to work with your solar company to assist in ensuring that the solar can be installed safely and efficiently with no damage to the roof.
